Set on the 'bonny, bonny' banks of Loch Lomond in stunning surroundings, Loch Lomond Holiday Park is an ideal base for exploring the area, but with enough facilities to keep you happy if you feel like a few days relaxing before getting out and about and seeing what the area has to offer. The accommodation is of the award winning variety, so, you may be tempted to stretch your relaxation period a little bit further before heading off to the countryside or taking a circular tour round Loch Awe for an unforgettable day out
Glasgow is only an hour away and well worth the visit. Long gone are the days of sword fights on buses, Glasgow is now not only Scotland's but up there with Edinburgh it's one of Europe's cultural highlights. If you don't fancy heading off to the city, there's a range of shops, restaurants and hotels within a few minutes' drive of the park, so there's plenty to do in the daytime and the evenings.
The park has a bathing beach, which is something people don't associate with inland resorts in the UK, so don't forget to take your bathers. If you don't fancy a dip, but do fancy something active, sporting activities in the area are plentiful, as well as cycling and walking at various levels of exertion.
Loch Fyne is not too far away so if your a bit of a culinary lover, then it'll be hard to resist the temptation to try out the famous source of the oysters and smoked fish.
For enthusiasts of history and culture, and even those who are not, it's hard to escape the fact that you are in the cradle of early Gaelic culture, something which the Scots take pride in, and love to share with visitors to the area. The list of things to see and goes on, and on, and it's no wonder that that Loch Lomond has inspired songs and poetry, and we're very pleased that someone has had the sense you locate a tastefully designed, and complimentary lodge park right in the middle of it.
